Teaching Philosophy

I believe that all students can learn and that diversity in that learning place the onus of responsibility on the instructors and their universities to ensure that said knowledge is imparted to learners in ways that are understandable and meaningful. As an instructor for Worden School of Social Services, I see myself as a guide and mentor for future social workers and a representative, advocate, and gatekeeper for the profession, protecting the profession's integrity and reputation. Moreover, I believe as an instructor it is my responsibility to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment that welcomes diversity and openness of thought.

Outside Interests

Creative writing, teaching literature at the dual-credit and post-secondary levels, reading, and art collecting.
