Join us as we ring in the
Christmas Season
Our Lady of the Lake University celebrates the Christmas season
with two time-honored events. You and your family are invited to
celebrate with us.
Las Posadas
Friday, Dec. 2
6 p.m.
For 24 years, the OLLU community has celebrated Las Posadas.
The procession starts at the Our Lady of the Lake Convent and
travels across campus. Following the procession, there will be a
celebration and reception in Chapel Auditorium featuring music by
Mariachi OLLUtlan, and performances by St. Edward's Ballet
Folklorico and Matachines Our Lady of Good Counsel.
Candlelight
Saturday, Dec. 3
7 p.m. - Advent Prayer Service - Sacred Heart Chapel
8 p.m. - Christmas Caroling - Moye Rotunda
The OLLU Candlelight Celebration is a 76-year tradition on campus.
The community gathers for an Advent Prayer Service in the beautiful
Sacred Heart Chapel. Following the service, there is a candlelight
procession through the halls of campus to the four-story Moye
Rotunda. Participants circle the four levels of the Rotunda and sing
Christmas carols by candlelight. |
